Recap: Southbridge Pioneers vs. Blackstone-Millville Chargers
The Southbridge Pioneers pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Blackstone-Millville by a score of 58-55. Southbridge was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Blackstone-Millville apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Blackstone-Millville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jackson Dunton, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Logan McCourt, who scored ten points along with seven steals.
Southbridge now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Blackstone-Millville, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southbridge will be home for the holidays to greet Bay Path RVT at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Blackstone-Millville will be home for the holidays to greet Keefe Tech at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
