Flag Football Recap: Mary Persons Piles Up the Points Against Jordan

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mary Persons). They took their game on Monday with ease, bagging a 42-6 win over the Jordan Red Jackets. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Mary Persons didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jacey Broughton and Jayla Barkley.

Mary Persons has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.0 points on average over those games. As for Jordan, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Mary Persons wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 25-0 victory against Baldwin on the 12th. As for Jordan, they have also already played their next game, a 27-0 defeat against Columbus on the 13th.
