Baseball Recap: Aurora Christian Find Success

Aurora Christian won the last time they faced Newark and things went their way on Wednesday too. Aurora Christian came out on top against Newark by a score of 7-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Kaleb Elwood made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Elwood was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Preston Morel, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Nolan Robertson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Aurora Christian now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Newark, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aurora Christian will challenge Serena at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Newark, they will take on Stillman Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Stillman Valley has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.25 runs per game on average), something Newark will no doubt try to take advantage of.
