Basketball Game Preview: Porter-Gaud Cyclones vs. First Baptist School Hurricanes

Having just played yesterday, the Porter-Gaud Cyclones will head out on the road to face off against the First Baptist School Hurricanes at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Porter-Gaud's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 12 matchups.

On Monday, everything went Porter-Gaud's way against Cathedral Academy as Porter-Gaud made off with a 73-52 win. The Cyclones have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 21 points or more this season.

First Baptist School hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came out on top against Northwood Academy by a score of 65-57 on Friday.

Porter-Gaud has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.4 points over those games. As for First Baptist School, their victory bumped their record up to 4-12.

Everything came up roses for Porter-Gaud against First Baptist School in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as the squad secured a 76-47 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Porter-Gaud since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
