Baseball Preview: Paradise Honors Panthers vs. Greenway Demons

The Paradise Honors Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Greenway Demons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Paradise Honors is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

Last Tuesday, everything went Paradise Honors' way against Shadow Mountain as Paradise Honors made off with a 16-3 victory.

Brennan Hansen and Andrew Tran were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Hansen struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Meanwhile, Tran pitched an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits (he also didn't allow any walks). At bat, Hansen scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Tran scored two runs and stole a base.

In other batting news, Jack Moore was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Noah Rodriguez, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Greenway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 7-4 to Yuma.

Paradise Honors has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season. As for Greenway, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.
