Basketball Recap: Savanna Snags Tenth Victory in Last 12 Games

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Savanna on Tuesday. They strolled past the Rancho Alamitos Vaqueros with points to spare, taking the game 70-52. This was a revenge game for the Rebels: when they faced off against the Vaqueros back in January, they had to take a 70-53 defeat.

Savanna was led to victory by Paul Henderson and Branden Ellis. Henderson went 8 of 15 on his way to 19 points and seven rebounds, while Ellis posted 22 points and four steals. With that strong performance, Ellis is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Another player making a difference was Joachim Bikoula, who earned eight points and eight boards.

Savanna was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 2.3 assists per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 11.2.

Savanna has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game.
