Hunter-Kinard-Tyler has gone 8-2 against Ridge Spring-Monetta recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Hunter-Kinard-Tyler Trojans will head out to face off against the Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans at 8:00 p.m. Hunter-Kinard-Tyler has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Hunter-Kinard-Tyler turned things around against Williston-Elko on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Blue Devils 66-38. The game marked the Trojans' most dominant victory of the season.

Meanwhile, Ridge Spring-Monetta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 57-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Batesburg-Leesville.

Hunter-Kinard-Tyler will need focus on slowing down Maury Bing, one of several Ridge Spring-Monetta players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 12 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Bing a new career-high in assists (two). Another player making a difference was Nehemiah Thomas, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 14 boards.

Even though they lost, Ridge Spring-Monetta smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Hunter-Kinard-Tyler's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points per game. As for Ridge Spring-Monetta, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.

Hunter-Kinard-Tyler was able to grind out a solid victory over Ridge Spring-Monetta in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 58-47.
