Gresham Community is a perfect 9-0 against White Lake since October of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. On Tuesday, Gresham Community narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Marion 3-2.

Gresham Community was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 15-25, 25-18, 22-25, 25-16, 15-12.

Meanwhile, White Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against Phelps, falling 3-0.

While White Lake was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21, 25-21.

White Lake's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Gresham Community, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Gresham Community beat White Lake 3-1 when the teams last played back in September. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Lakers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
