Basketball Game Preview: Northwood Chargers vs. South Granville Vikings

The Northwood Chargers will face off against the South Granville Vikings on Tuesday. Northwood is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 16 games.

Northwood is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 50-43 victory over SouthWest Edgecombe. The 50-point effort marked the Chargers' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, South Granville got the win against Roanoke Rapids on Friday by a conclusive 73-51. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Northwood pushed their record up to 27-2 with the win, which was their 26th straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.8 points. As for South Granville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season.
