Basketball Recap: Essex Takes a Loss

Essex was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a blow against East Mills, falling 76-40. The Trojans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-14.

Caleb Urban went supernova for East Mills, almost dropping a double-double with 18 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Embree, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 15 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.

Essex's defeat dropped their record down to 4-20. As for East Mills, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Essex wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 51-45 victory against Hamburg on the 10th. As for East Mills, they have also already played their next game, a 61-57 win against Sidney on the 11th.
