Basketball Recap: Rylan Ivey's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Chapman over Greenville H

Chapman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Greenville H Hurricanes, falling 61-37.

Chapman lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Rylan Ivey, who posted ten points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Krislyn Wilder, who had eight points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Greenville H found their leader in sophomore Bailey Amerson, who put up 14 points. Those 14 points gave Amerson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sara Tabb Wallace, who posted six points and five rebounds.

Chapman's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Greenville H, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.

Chapman will welcome Greer Middle College at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Greenville H, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Woodruff at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenville H is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.2 points per game this season.
