Softball Recap: Cross Lanes Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hannan last Tuesday, Cross Lanes Christian came back down to earth. The Warriors took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Elk Valley Christian Eagles on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Cross Lanes Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izzy Harper, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases.

Cross Lanes Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Elk Valley Christian, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cross Lanes Christian will challenge South Charleston at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Elk Valley Christian, they will take on Capital at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
