Jefferson had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They skirted past the Delavan-Darien Comets 3-1. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 6-5 win back in April.

The win made it two in a row for Jefferson and bumps their season record up to 19-6. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Delavan-Darien, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-4.

Coming up, Jefferson will square off against St. Joseph on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 3.2, the Lancers 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. Delavan-Darien does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
