Basketball Recap: Zion Soli's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hawaiian Mission Academy over Hanalani

Hawaiian Mission Academy lost against Hanalani back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Knights lost 60-38 to the Royals.

Hawaiian Mission Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zion Soli, who went 6-for-10 en route to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of DJ Tuscano, who posted ten points.

Hawaiian Mission Academy dropped their record down to 2-3 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Hanalani, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Hawaiian Mission Academy will square off against rival Le Jardin at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2026. Meanwhile, Hanalani is set to face off against their familiar foe Damien at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
