Softball Recap: West Bladen Comes Up Short

After flying high against East Bladen last Monday, West Bladen came back down to earth. West Bladen fell just short of the St. Pauls Bulldogs by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.

Natalee Sykes and Kali Allen stepped up to the plate in a big way. Sykes scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Allen went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

West Bladen's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for St. Pauls, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6.

While West Bladen had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
