Baseball Recap: Currituck County Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Currituck County waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the First Flight Nighthawks by a score of 5-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-2 on Tuesday.

Haven Clark spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Colton Musto, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Mason Burch, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Currituck County's record is now 18-5. As for First Flight, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-10.

Currituck County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for First Flight, they will square off against Manteo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The last four games the Redskins have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
