There's no place like home for South Adams, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They secured a 53-49 W over the Blackford Bruins on Saturday. The Starfires' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

South Adams can attribute much of their success to Tytus Lehman, who went 8 for 14 on his way to 23 points. Nolan Colpaert was another key player, putting up four points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.

Despite the loss, Blackford saw an underclassman step up: freshman Amarian Leggett went 7 of 14 en route to 20 points. Leggett's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Mason Kitterman, who posted eight points and five steals.

South Adams moved to 2-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Blackford, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

South Adams wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 61-14 loss against Jay County on the 14th. Blackford has also already played their next contest (against Mississinewa), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
