Basketball Game Preview: Rosamond Roadrunners vs. California City Ravens

Rosamond and California City are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Rosamond Roadrunners will look to defend their home court on Friday against the California City Ravens at 7:00 p.m. Both are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

California City will be up against a hot Rosamond team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. Rosamond simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Mammoth 76-33. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-12.

Meanwhile, California City was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past Boron 81-37. The Ravens have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 24 points or more this season.

California City found their leader in sophomore Cassius 'Hollywood' Brown, who posted 23 points. Brown's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery 'Skywalker' Spears, who scored 15 points.

California City is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.2 points per game. As for Rosamond, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.
