Baseball Recap: New Lothrop Comes Up Short

New Lothrop was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 15-5 to the Maple Valley Lions.

Zane Rumisek was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and three runs. He is becoming a predictor of New Lothrop's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 10-11 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Braxton Tallon, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

New Lothrop's loss dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Maple Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9-1.
