Basketball Game Preview: Kings Christian Crusaders vs. Tranquillity Tigers

The Kings Christian Crusaders and the Tranquillity Tigers will compete for holiday cheer at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Kings Christian has given up an average of 53.1 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Kings Christian is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Lemoore just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were outmatched by the Tigers and fell 72-38. While losing is never fun, the Crusaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 704th, while the Tigers are ranked 315th).

Meanwhile, Tranquillity had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 39-27 victory over Alpaugh on Tuesday. Those 39 points were actually the fewest the Tigers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Kings Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Tranquillity, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Everything went Kings Christian's way against Tranquillity in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as Kings Christian made off with a 58-34 victory. Will the Crusaders repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
