Basketball Recap: South Lenoir Blue Devils vs. East Duplin Panthers
South Lenoir lost against East Duplin back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The South Lenoir Blue Devils took a 60-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Duplin Panthers. The Blue Devils' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.
It was another big night for Calvin Harper, who went 8 for 17 en route to 23 points and six steals for East Duplin. What's more, Harper also posted a 56% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in December of 2024. Aaron Hall was another key player, going 7 of 12 to rack up 14 points.
South Lenoir's record now sits at 8-13. As for East Duplin, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.
Looking ahead, South Lenoir will venture away from home to face off against North Lenoir at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Lenoir will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something South Lenoir surely won't give up without a fight. As for East Duplin, they have already played their next match, a 46-42 defeat against James Kenan on the 7th.
