Elgin/Pope John is 7-1 against West Holt since February of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Elgin/Pope John Wolfpack will look to defend their home court against the West Holt Huskies at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Last Friday, Elgin/Pope John strolled past Stuart with points to spare, taking the game 51-36. The Wolfpack pushed the score to 39-19 by the end of the third, a deficit the Broncos cut but never quite recovered from.

Elgin/Pope John found their leader in sophomore Braelyn Martinsen, who posted 24 points. Another player making a difference was Madelyn Kurpgeweit, who put up ten points.

Meanwhile, West Holt took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging a 59-22 win over Boyd County. The Huskies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 23 points or more this season.

Elgin/Pope John is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.7 points per game. As for West Holt, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Elgin/Pope John didn't have too much breathing room in their game against West Holt in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 49-44 win.
