Softball Game Preview: Concord Academy Eagles vs. Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans

The Concord Academy Eagles will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Concord Academy came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 14-3 to Lee Park Prep. The loss was the Eagles' first of the season.

Concord Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zoe Williams, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Milee Amburn was another, scoring a run and stealing Two bases.

Meanwhile, Wesleyan Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Charlotte Latin, falling 11-0.

Having lost for the first time this season, Concord Academy fell to 2-1. As for Wesleyan Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Wesleyan Christian Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Concord Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .314. It's a different story for Wesleyan Christian Academy, though, as they've only averaged .172. Will they be able to contain Concord Academy's hitters?
