Joliet West has gone a perfect 3-0 against Thornwood recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Tigers will face off against the Thunderbirds at 3:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Joliet West had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Zion-Benton 63-35. The Tigers pushed the score to 53-27 by the end of the third, a deficit the Zee-Bees had little chance of recovering from.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Thornwood ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They snuck past Brother Rice with an 80-75 victory.

Thornwood's win came from a few key players Joliet West will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Lester Watson, who shot 57% from the field to rack up 33 points and three steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in December of 2024. Jordan Jones was another key player, putting up 23 points and eight boards.

Joliet West was able to grind out a solid win over Thornwood when the teams last played back in February, winning 72-59. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Thunderbirds turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
