Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carter). They blew past the Lincoln Tigers 19-1 on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Pablo Daurte made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing six bases. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sean Armster, who scored three runs and stole five bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
