Damon Taylor Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is Kimberly's Damon Taylor, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Taylor rushed for 158 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 100 rushing yards dating back to last season.
For the year, Taylor has run in 4 touchdowns while averaging 114.8 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he was only averaging 59.83 rushing yards per game.

Buhl picked up their third consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Gabe Finley. Finley's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 114 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Buhl's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Finley and Buhl will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Kimberly at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.

Macraye Bruning Goes Supernova in Kimberly Victory
The second Kimberly player making an appearance here is Macraye Bruning, and for good reason. He threw for 228 yards and four touchdowns on only 19 passes.
On the year, Bruning has thrown 13 touchdowns while averaging 171 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after six games last season, he was only averaging 0.67 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 23.5 rushing yards.
