Baseball Game Preview: Munday Moguls vs. Northside Indians

Munday is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Friday. They will look to defend their home field against the Northside Indians at 4:00 p.m. Munday has given up an average of 8.5 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Munday is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Hermleigh just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They came up short against the Cardinals, falling 13-5.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northside). Their pitchers stepped up to hand Non Varsity Opponent a 22-0 shutout last Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Northside and bumps their season record up to 4-5. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.5 runs over those games. As for Munday, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
