Softball Recap: East Newton Falls Short Against Ranked Warsaw

East Newton faced Warsaw in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Patriots took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Patriots' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

East Newton's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Warsaw, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.

East Newton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 5-0 defeat against Skyline on the 12th. As for Warsaw, they have also already played their next game, an 11-0 win against Diamond on the 11th.
