Midd-West can  bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game  on Wednesday. They walked away with  a   12-9  victory over the Central Columbia Bluejays. The Mustangs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
 Midd-West let  Braxton Smith and  Kyle Shupp run wild. Smith  scored a  run while going 3-for-5, while  Shupp  scored three  runs while going 2-for-5. That's the most  runs  Shupp has posted since back in March of 2024.  Colton Aumiller was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-5.
Midd-West's  win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4. As for Central Columbia, they now  have a losing record of 2-3.
 Looking ahead, Midd-West will take on Newport at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Buffaloes have averaged an impressive 9.6  runs per game this season. As for Central Columbia, they will face off against Mount Carmel at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Bluejays' pitchers better be ready for this one: the RED TORNADOES have averaged an impressive 7.6  runs per game this season.
