Softball Recap: Amite County Comes Up Short

Amite County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They lost 14-1 to the Franklin County Bulldogs. If the Trojans were looking for revenge after losing 15-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Amite County's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Franklin County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-6-1.

Coincidentally, Amite County and Franklin County will both be playing Bogue Chitto the next time they take the field. The Trojans will host the Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bulldogs will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
