Basketball Recap: Homedale Drops Season-High Score on Ontario

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Homedale). Everything went their way against the Ontario Tigers on Thursday as the Homedale Trojans made off with a 56-33 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Trojans as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Homedale's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tiana Sorenson, who posted 18 points. The dominant performance gave Sorenson a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Belen Asumendi, who earned 14 points.

Homedale's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Ontario, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Homedale and Salmon River will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Ontario and The Ambrose School will compete for holiday cheer at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
