Rifle and Grand Valley are an even 4-4-2 against one another since March of 2018, but likely not for long. The Bears will square off against the Cardinals at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

The Bears came up short against the Demons back in March, falling 5-0. The loss continues a trend for Rifle in their meetings with Glenwood Springs: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Grand Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 4-0 to Colorado Rocky Mountain.

Rifle now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Grand Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Everything went Rifle's way against Grand Valley when the teams last played back in March, as Rifle made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
