Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Gorham

While Gorham's win against Massabesic wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rams skirted past the Mustangs 5-3. The victory was familiar territory for the Rams, who have now won three matches in a row.

Bella McBrady spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on eight hits and racked up 11 Ks. Those 11 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lucy Dubail, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Abbie Buckelew, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Gorham now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Massabesic, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Gorham will take on rival Kennebunk at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Massabesic is set to face off against their familiar foe Westbrook at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
