There's no place like home for Belton-Honea Path, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Palmetto Mustangs 6-5. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Belton-Honea Path let Rhett Turner and Colby Bates run wild. Turner went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Bates went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base. That's the most RBI Bates has posted since back in May of 2024. Jakari Anderson also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Belton-Honea Path pushed their record up to 4-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Palmetto, their record is now 1-8.

Coming up, Belton-Honea Path will square off against T.L. Hanna at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. T.L.
