Volleyball Recap: Payette Takes a Loss

Payette lost against Nyssa back in September of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pirates fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. While the Pirates didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bulldogs 25-21 in the first set.

Payette took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-15, 18-25, 25-23, 15-12.

Payette's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Nyssa, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Coincidentally, Payette and Nyssa will both be playing Marsing the next time they take the court. The Pirates will head out to face the Huskies at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
