Football Game Preview: Allen East Mustangs vs. Columbus Grove Bulldogs

The Allen East Mustangs are taking a road trip to take on the Columbus Grove Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Allen East is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight games on Friday. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 34-33 heartbreaker at the hands of Crestview. On the bright side, the 33- point performance marked the Mustangs' highest-scoring contest to date.

Meanwhile, Columbus Grove got themselves on the board against Jefferson on Friday, but Jefferson never followed suit. They blew past the Wildcats, posting a 49-0 victory. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Allen East's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Columbus Grove, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-3.

Allen East suffered a grim 38-13 defeat to Columbus Grove in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Thankfully for the Mustangs, Trenton Barraza (who rushed for 308 yards and four TDs while picking up 12.3 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time.
