Basketball Recap: Benjamin Franklin Takes a Loss

Benjamin Franklin suffered their biggest defeat since December 19, 2024 on Monday. They lost 53-33 to the Horizon Honors Eagles. The Chargers haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Benjamin Franklin lost, don't look at Jacey Blair. Despite the final result, she posted 20 points. That's the most points Blair has posted since back in January of 2024.

Benjamin Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Horizon Honors, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Benjamin Franklin won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Payson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Payson's defense has only allowed 28 points per game this season, so Benjamin Franklin's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Horizon Honors, they will head out to face off against San Carlos at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
