Volleyball Recap: Pelham Falls Short Against Ranked Marist

Pelham is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Marist. The Panthers fell 2-0 to the War Eagles.

Aubrie Smith paced Pelham's offense, picking up nine kills. Smith got some help from Bristol Hannah and her 15 assists.

Pelham now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Marist, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Pelham has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Buckhorn on the 23rd. As for Marist, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Starkville on the 23rd.
