Softball Game Preview: Hebron Hawks vs. Flower Mound Jaguars

The Hebron Hawks are taking a road trip to square off against the Flower Mound Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Hebron 2.1, Flower Mound 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.

While Hebron's victory against Braswell wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Hawks won by a run and slipped past the Bengals 4-3. Winning may never get old, but the Hawks sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Meanwhile, Flower Mound owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Coppell with a sharp 7-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won 12 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Flower Mound has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-7-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Hebron, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5.

Hebron couldn't quite finish off Flower Mound when the teams last played back in March and fell 5-3. Can the Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
