Knott County Central came tearing into Saturday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 60-27 victory over the Powell County Pirates. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 91st, while the Pirates are ranked 238th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
