Volleyball Recap: Fatima Continues Home Dominance on Monday

There's no place like home for Fatima, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Everything went their way against Father Tolton on Monday as they made off with a 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Comets also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

While Fatima won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-21, 26-24.

Alayna Backes paced Fatima's offense, picking up 18 kills. Backes got some help from Lily Kempker and her 32 assists. Finally, Backes was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Fatima pushed their record up to 16-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Father Tolton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-8-1.

Fatima wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Sullivan on the 30th. As for Father Tolton, they will head out on the road to square off against Helias at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
