Softball Recap: St. Mary Central Catholic Comes Up Short

St. Mary Central Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 11-3 to the Danbury Lakers. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lakers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

St. Mary Central Catholic saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brittney Rhoads, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

St. Mary Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Danbury, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

St. Mary Central Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-1 defeat against Sandusky on the 12th. As for Danbury, they will head out to square off against Calvert at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lakers will need to watch out since the Senecas have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
