Baseball Game Preview: Bonneville Lakers vs. Clearfield Falcons

For the second straight game, Bonneville will face off against Clearfield. The Lakers will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Falcons at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Bonneville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.

Bonneville came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Clearfield, falling 9-1. The loss continues a trend for the Lakers in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost three in a row.

For Clearfield's part, Hudson Meyer was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one triple. Those three hits gave Meyer a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Mower, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Clearfield was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matches.

Bonneville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Clearfield, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.
