The Byron-Bergen Bees had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They enjoyed a cozy 63-47 win over Pavilion on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Byron-Bergen also won the last time the pair played back in February.
Byron-Bergen's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brody Baubie led the charge by dropping a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Colin Martin was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 6 steals.
Byron-Bergen's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Pavilion, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Byron-Bergen won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Fillmore at 7:00 p.m. on December 2nd. As for Pavilion, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Avon at 7:00 p.m.
