Softball Recap: Iola-Scandinavia Takes a Loss

Iola-Scandinavia lost against Wittenberg-Birnamwood back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Thunderbirds fell 7-2 to the Chargers. The Thunderbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Iola-Scandinavia saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Printz, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double was Printz's first of the season.

Iola-Scandinavia's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Wittenberg-Birnamwood, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 12-9 record.

Coming up, Iola-Scandinavia will face off against Wild Rose at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Wittenberg-Birnamwood, they will take on Almond-Bancroft at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Chargers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season.
