Volleyball Recap: Danville's Win Ends Nine-Game Losing Streak on the Road + How To Watch

Danville got their first taste of in-conference action on Tuesday and they started things off strong. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Peoria Lions 2-1. The Vikings have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Danville got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 23-25, 25-20.

Danville's win ended a nine-match drought on the road and puts them at 3-21. As for Peoria, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.

Danville and Peoria could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Vikings will take on Normal Community at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (600 vs. 27). Meanwhile, Peoria (ranked 644th) will meet Normal West (ranked 111th) at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
