Jackson Cowart made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two runs. That home run was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Landon Varela and Chase Petersen did most of the damage at the plate: Varela scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Petersen scored two runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-5. Salter was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
In other batting news, Cruz Duncan was a standout: he scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. He has become a key player for West Florida Baptist Academy: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Evan Richardson, who scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
West Florida Baptist Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Trinitas Christian, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-4.
Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Trinitas Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .470. However, it's not like West Florida Baptist Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .446.
