Mesa Vista extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 1-13 in the process. They lost 19-0 to the McCurdy Bobcats. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

As for McCurdy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. The result was nothing new for McCurdy, who have now won 13 contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

For McCurdy's part, Celestino Salazar-Archuleta and Cruz Martinez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Salazar-Archuleta tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Martinez struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances. At the plate, Salazar-Archuleta went 1-for-2 with one home run, while Martinez went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, McCurdy got a massive performance out of Ryan Valdez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. Jeremaya Roybal was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.

Coincidentally, Mesa Vista and McCurdy will both be playing Mora the next time they take the field. The Bobcats will host the Rangers/Rangerettes at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Trojans will head out to face them at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
