Basketball Recap: Wahoo Warriors vs. Ralston Rams
The Wahoo Warriors stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They really took it to Ralston for the full four quarters, racking up a 80-36 win on the road. With Wahoo ahead 55-17 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Leading Wahoo to victory were Dylan Simons and Marcus Glock. Simons scored 12 points along with seven assists and two steals, while Glock scored 19 points along with two steals. Simons is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kaden Christen, who scored 12 points.
Ralston's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Davinchi Gray, who scored ten points, and Conner Brown who scored ten points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brown has scored all season.
Ralston struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Wahoo pulled down 14 offensive rebounds.
Wahoo pushed their record up to 13-3 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points per game. As for Ralston, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wahoo will challenge the Cardinals at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Crete is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Ralston, they will head out on the road to take on the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Platteview focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Monday.
