It was a good run, but Union Grove unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Franklin Sabers.

Tyler Johnson paced Union Grove's offense, picking up three kills. Johnson got some help from Asher Gonzales and his eight assists.

Union Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 11-19. As for Franklin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Union Grove and Franklin will both be playing Madison Memorial the next time they take the court. The Broncos will head out to face the Spartans at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Sabers will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
